How to Read These Before & After Results
The difference between a good facelift and an obvious one is almost never visible in a still photograph. Lighting, head position and a slightly raised chin can flatter any result. Video removes all of that — what you see is how the face genuinely looks and moves.
Watch the Jawline as the Head Turns
The jawline is where a facelift succeeds or fails. As the patient rotates from front to profile, the border between jaw and neck should read as one clean, continuous line — not a tightened cheek sitting above a neck that was left behind.
Look for a Natural, Relaxed Expression
A well-planned facelift repositions deep tissue rather than pulling skin. The face should look rested, not stretched; the mouth corners should sit naturally and the smile should be unmistakably the patient's own. Any sideways, "windswept" pull is a sign the tension was placed on the skin instead of the underlying layer.
Assess the Neck Separately
Many patients seeking a facelift are actually most troubled by the neck. Watch the neck when the patient looks down or speaks — loose bands and blunted angles show up immediately in movement, and a result that only addresses the face will show its limits here.
The Face Should Look Like Itself, Only Rested
The aim is never a different face. The correct question when watching each video is not "how much has changed?" but "does this still look like the same person, ten years earlier?" A result that makes the patient look altered rather than rested has not succeeded, however tight it may appear.

Why video instead of before and after photographs?
Because a facelift is a three-dimensional result and a photograph is not. A raised chin, a turned head or softer lighting can make almost any result look convincing in a still image. Video shows the jawline, the neck and the natural expression in continuous motion — the three things a poor result cannot hide.
Will the scars be visible?
Facelift incisions are planned to follow the natural contours around the ear and within the hairline, where they settle into existing creases and shadows. They are permanent but designed to be inconspicuous, and most patients find them difficult to identify once healing is complete. Scar position is planned individually according to your hairline, ear anatomy and hairstyle.
How long do the results last?
A facelift resets the position of the deep tissues, but it does not stop time. Most patients retain a clear benefit for many years, and the face continues to age from its new, improved starting point rather than returning to where it began. Skin quality, sun exposure, weight changes and genetics all influence how long the result holds.
Am I too young — or too old — for a facelift?
Age is far less relevant than anatomy. What matters is whether the deep tissues have descended enough for surgery to be the right answer — and whether you are in good general health. Operating too early gives little to correct; waiting too long does not make surgery impossible, but it can limit how much can be achieved with skin that has lost its elasticity. This is assessed individually at consultation.
Can a facelift be combined with other procedures?
Very often, yes. A facelift addresses the lower two-thirds of the face and the neck, so it is commonly planned alongside eyelid surgery, a temporal or brow lift, or fat transfer to restore lost volume. Combining procedures means a single recovery period rather than several, but the decision depends on your anatomy, goals and general health — it is never assumed in advance.
