The short version
Citizens of the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, and Saudi Arabia can currently enter Turkey visa-free for tourism and medical-visit purposes, for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. UAE nationals (Emirati passport holders) have the same visa-free/visa-on-arrival access — but UAE residents holding a non-UAE passport must check the requirement for their own nationality separately. Travelers from countries that are not visa-exempt apply through Turkey's official e-Visa portal.

If you do need an e-Visa
Travelers whose nationality is not visa-exempt apply online at the official portal, evisa.gov.tr — the process typically takes a few minutes, with approval issued within minutes to 72 hours. Walk-up visa-on-arrival is no longer available, so this must be completed before departure. Only use the official government portal; third-party sites may charge unnecessary service fees.

Valid 6+ months beyond your entry date, with at least one blank page.
e-Visa printout (if applicable)
If your nationality requires an e-Visa, carry a printed or digital copy of your approval from evisa.gov.tr.
Travel proof
A return or onward ticket and your accommodation address are commonly recommended to carry, even when not strictly required.

Visa-free/tourist entry covers short-term medical treatment such as facial plastic surgery consultations and procedures. It does not authorize employment or long-term residence. If in doubt about your specific situation, confirm with the Turkish consulate or embassy serving your country.
How long before travel should I check my passport validity?
As soon as your surgery date is set. Renewing a passport can take weeks, and most guidance recommends at least 6 months of validity remaining beyond your entry date.
Can visa/entry rules change?
